The Minneapolis Toy Library invites you to join us for our first lending event Saturday, May 9th from 3:45-4:45pm at Washburn Library, 5244 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55419.  Information about our initial offering of 6-month trial memberships can be found in the attached brochure.  We are excited to meet those of you who have been following our progress!

Please know that we are doing everything possible to make this a smooth process for new members; however, we anticipate learning a lot from these first trial memberships and making some changes along the way.  We ask for your patience as we navigate this process with you in the hopes of having a larger “grand opening” to accommodate more families this Fall!

There has been a great core group of organizers working to get the toy library up and running! The plans to open as a mobile toy lending program are moving forward, and we have come upon some exciting possibilities for community partnerships! Because of these new opportunities, we have decided to delay our launch until all of the partnership details can be worked out.

In the meantime, we are looking for your input to determine some details of our memberships. If you see yourself as a future toy borrower, please take this four question survey to share your thoughts. We will be taking this input into consideration when making decisions! Then, keep an eye out for membership details to be posted to our website.

After an exciting few weeks of fundraising, we have successfully surpassed our original project budget of $2000! Now the work of bringing the toy library to life begins! We will be gathering together those interested in helping out in the coming weeks. More details to come.
