We take toy safety seriously at the toy library. Both knowledge on recalls and understanding what toys are appropriate for what age will minimize dangers to children. To help keep us informed, we follow the US Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall list and recommendations regarding toys.
There’s a large document published by the USCPSC, The Age Determination Guidelines, is a large document that outlines appropriateness of toys at certain ages. If you’ve got time and patience to get through it, it’s there for you to read.
